P2P File Sharing

File sharing is simply the exchange of media between users. P2P filing sharing allows users access to many media files that have been uploaded by other users using a P2P software program. BitTorrent is a very popular program for P2P file sharing as described in “The BitTorrent Effect” on Wired. Apparently, the software program lets users quickly “download files that are hundreds or thousands of times bigger than a single MP3.” It’s most popular use is to download TV episodes or movies. That’s not surprising to me as I know a lot of friends who go on sites and have applications on their phones that can stream and download movies or episodes of a TV series they are following.
